
Oven Cooked Asparagus

Asparagus with some chopped basil, sprinkled with a little olive oil, and cooked in the oven
3 or 4 handfuls young fresh asparagus
Wash the asparagus, trim off the stalk ends, and lay in an oven proof dish. Lightly season with salt and pepper and dribble over the olive oil.
Put in the oven at 400°F/200°C/Reg6, and cook for twenty minutes or so until it reaches the tenderness you like. Sprinkle over the basil, cook for another couple of minutes and serve.
