Sauteed New Potatoes with Garlic

Scrape the new potatoes and simmer in boiling water until just cooked. Drain and and dry in the steam. Cut into slices and season lightly with salt and pepper.

Put the butter and oil in a thick bottomed pan over a medium heat. Add the potatoes and cook turning from to time.

A few minutes before the potatoes will be browned, sprinkle over the chopped garlic and stir in. Serve the potatoes when nicely brown.
