Soften the shallots and garlic in a couple of tablespoonfuls of olive oil in a broad pan. Add the kale and season with a little salt and pepper. Stir in well with the onions and garlic, cover and cook over a low heat, stirring from time to time for about 15 or so minutes until just soft.
