Halibut with Chermoula

Amazingly nice Halibut with Chermoula served with some Sauteed Potatoes and Red Pepper


thick steaks of a white fish like hake, halibut ..

  1. Make Chermoula  Recipe  . Cut each steak into two tranches discarding the bone  Picture  , this was halibut. Put the fish into a bowl with half the Chermoula and marinade for an hour or so  Picture  .
  2. Clean the potatoes and cook in boiling water until barely cooked, drain and cool. Top and tail the red pepper, remove the pith, cut into thin slices and finely chop.
  3. When ready put a tablespoonful or so of olive oil in a non-stick frying pan, add the fish skin side down and cook over a medium heat for five minutes or so until nicely brown. Turn over and finish off for a couple of minutes.
  4. Meanwhile slice the potatoes and saute in some olive oil and a little butter until nicely brown adding the red pepper pieces half way through.
  5. Put the fish pieces on to serving plates, pour over the remainder of the Chermoula, add the potatoes and peppers and a little chopped parsley if you like and serve  Zoom  .
Serves: Two to four
