
Green Beans with Bacon

Nice Fine Green Beans bunched up and wrapped in a good piece of Streaky Bacon, a nice addition to lots of dishes
two big handfuls of fine green beans
Top and tail the beans and simmer in salted boiling water until not quite tender. Drain in a colander, re-add to the cooking saucepan, very lightly season with salt and mix in a tablespoonful of butter.
Meanwhile very lightly grill the streaky button. When ready, take a small handful of beans and wrap around with a slice of bacon. Take cocktail stick and insert where the bacon slice joins and put join side down into a serving dish. Repeat with the remaining handfuls of beans.
When ready to serve, put the beans on to serving dishes and discard the cocktail stick.
